At Wartook Gardens the wildlife can be prolific and varied. Any visitor can soon see many of the 118 bird species that we have recorded so far. In the early morning or evening it is possible to see very large mobs of kangaroos. The Wartook Valley is now recognised as where one can see up to hundreds of kangaroos.
Emus and wallabies are less frequent visitors.
In the garden it is possible to see a number of different skinks, stumpy tail lizards and even on rare occasions an echidna. There are many frogs around the garden and the pond outside the dining room is a great spot to hear a frog chorus of an evening.
